wedding part 2.

back. last monday from my cousin's 2nd wedding. well heres the entry i typed when i was there~
Time now is 11.11pm, Sunday October 08. (: Im in Malacca now for my cousin linda wedding. Part 2.
The first thing to greet me on my laptop is a strand of Russell’s white fur. It reminds me of how much I miss that little rascal now that im in Malacca, but look on the bright side, Im leaving tmr!! Woohoo.
Typing a blog entry on Microsoft word is weird. Sitting alone in the room while my parents with my aunties and uncles play mahjong outside. Where did all the young ones go? Anyway, let me type more about this trip.(my ipod has gone hay-wired. I tried copying a “golden oldies” cd that my uncle has and it screwed up my itunes. Think its corrupted. Crapsticks.)
Saturday
Woke up at 820am and left the house at 9am as we had to send my sis to school for her exam. Yes im in Malacca without her! Actually its not that bad, its feels like im my parent’s only child. We left Russell looking clueless staring at us as if we were mad cos we’re going overseas with all the luggage and we’re leaving him at home. He must have thought we lost our mind! Such a cutie he is. Cant wait to see him tmr!
After running errands, we finally made our way to the customs at 10am and reaching Malacca at 1240pm. Once reached, we made our way to “mutton land”! haha, my uncles house where his wife cooks fantabulous mutton! Yummilicious. What made the meal even more perfect was him playing the “Golden Oldies” cd, it had great songs like “Hotel California”, “Itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow dotted bikini” and other great oldies. Too bad I cant seem to play it on my laptop. Daddy was busy talking and talking and talking all the way till about 3+ when I eventually fell asleep in the cool living room, dreaming about the mutton I just had and listening to soothing music. Got woken up and made our way to my aunt’s house- the bride’s place. The whole dining table was filled with kuei! Loads and loads of traditional kuei, such a pity that I didn’t bring the camera along as sis didn’t want to lend. Sat there, chit chat, actually I was more like stonning trying to figure out wth they were saying in malay. Played fire cracker sticks with my niece Amanda. Left the house at 11+pm and headed back to batang tiga to wash up and sleep.
I just got chased out, mummy wants to sleep. Its 1135pm.
Sunday
Woke up today at 8am, left batang tiga at 830am to the bride’s house for the tea ceremony etc. Wore my black mini skirt and got teased that my skirt was so tattered and torn. ahha and I went along with the story saying that I didn’t have enough money to buy more cloth. Jokers those uncles of mine. Took breakfast there, had roti prata plus yesterday’s left over mutton curry and waited till around 1045 for the groom to come. They refused to let the groom into the room till he recited a poem or sang a song haha and all he could come up with “ I love you…. You love me” (imagine that on repeat) Hilarious! Finally he was let into the room. I was too short and too far to see the rest of the details (whether he kissed the bride.. blah blah blah. I had no clue). Finally the tea ceremony. I even collected a ang pow just cos im a “kid” haha and I shook hands with the bride and groom! Followed the couple to the guy’s side house where I collected another ang pow! Its great to be young. After which we headed to the couple’s new house and had buffet lunch. Made it back to batang tiga only at 4pm, took a short nap till 530pm. Showered and got ready for the wedding dinner at dragon restaurant near town. Wore my graduation night dress with diamond heels, the dinner was… boring. Firstly, the singers they hired were terrible and all they sang were hokkien and Chinese songs! (give me a gun and I’ll shoot myself!) it was that terrible. Some uncle from the guy side kept going up and singing hokkien songs! And he was out of tune. Think he was drunk already. Daddy also sang, but thankfully English song – careless whisper. The food was so-so, there was a cold dish, a fake sharks fin soup, some steamed duck, promfet fish, mushroom sea cucumber dish, steamed prawns and ending with a ice cream cone that was hardly intact. But my cousin looked beautiful, I guess what they say about the bride looking the best on their wedding day is true.
So im back here. Leaving tmr at 1pm, I sense it will drag till 3pm or smth. oh well, nothing to look forward to getting back to Singapore besides Russell. Its great being single. Free and easy. Haha.
That’s about it, I shall go watch a movie now. Tatas.
came back and immediately got a call from adecco. went to work on wed, fri and sat at Northpoint Yishun roadshow. Worked yesterday at GAP, helping my cousin out. The shop is super huge! its at vivo city. the huge shopping centre. madness i tell you that place. And i practically had to do a "Jay-walk" ( walking really fast cutting in and out to get to somewhere else, it includes walking sideways like a crab) to get clothes for customers or to put back clothes as i was at the fitting room area. Bought a red GAP shirt though. so i think i spent half my pay alredy. im currently eyeing this GAP handbag and this brown silk cami. the cami is $45. duno abt the bag though.
Todays the first day of school. practically slept my way through the whole day. went to play pool with meow meow after sch and home.
want to watch tv now. tatas.
