Describe the sights and sounds of your journey to school.

The darkness daunted me as I stepped out of the building. The sour smell that came from the rubish chute disgusted me as I made my way to the quiet road. The tall lamposts looked like stars in the sky. As I walked, I recognised the same girl I see every morning waiting for the school bus to pick her to school. A few vehicles buzzed by hurridly as I crossed another road.

When I reached the other side of the road, I was greeted with a gush of fresh air. The cool breeze blew against me as I fought against the pressure. Again I saw the couple I see every morning holding hands, walking and laughing as they make their way to the Mass Rapid Train station. The ringing sounds alerted me to keep to one side of the walking path. People rushed past me as I walked briskly to the station. I scanned at the covers of the magazines as I walked past the newspaper stand, they called out to me to buy them. Ignoring the temptation I entered the fare gate and up the tall escalator. The breeze up there was refreshing, although it messed up my neatly tied hair. The empty faces seemed to surround me and the train finally arrived.

I got a seat in the middle of the cart and started to untie my messy hair. The sound of footsteps continued as I saw more dazed faces. The familiar faces started to fade off as I fell into deep sleep. Upon reaching my destination, I squeezed through the people like an ant in the grass. The air felt warm an moist as I started to perspire. "Curry puff! curry puff!", the voice slowly faded as I made my way to the bus interchange. The colourful advertistments on the buses kept me awake while I waited for the bus. Finally the bus came and I made my way to the rear of the bus and took a seat. As I looked around, I saw many familiar faces which I see every morning when I go to school. I looked out of the window into the dark sky. Only a few lights were on in the buildings I passed and again all these faded away.

Awakened by the sound of E-Z link cards beinging tapped on the validator, I looked up and realised that I was reaching school already. The sound of students chatting away got quite irritating. It was still pitch dark outside and the sky was dark blue. Students in various uniforms waited patiently at the bus stops for their buses and finally it was time for me to get off the noisy bus. The quietness outside was broken by a "hello!". I met my friend at the busstop. As we discussed how dark the sky was and how our previous day was, I noticed the heavy traffic under us as we crossed the overhead bridge. Cars drove by noisily and bises followed behind. As we strolled up the long and never ending slope, the fied looked rather fresh and bright as the grass stood out prominently. The sky started to lighten its shade of blie and I could hear the sounds of the chirping birds.
